2025 Scholarship Award

Criteria for Application

Dear Student,
 

Thank you for considering the Door County Environmental Council (DCEC) Scholarship Award. The DCEC  advocates for environmental conservation, responsible development, and ecologically friendly recreation in Northeast Wisconsin. We seek a secondary level junior or senior student that is interested in the conservation of Door County’s natural and sustainable resources.

Application Instructions and Requirements:

1. Please submit all documents electronically to our email contact@dcec-wi.org

2. Please include with your application:

______  A student profile that includes an unofficial transcript of your coursework

  A list of other activities, (internships, volunteering, community involvement, hobbies, etc.)

  Your contact information (email)

_______ Please include a personal essay explaining your interest in preserving Door County’s natural resources. Essays should be no more than two pages, double spaced.

_______ Three letters of reference.

_______ A copy of a “letter of acceptance” from the college or technical school for which you enrolled.

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States and a resident of Door County, Wisconsin.

Application Due Date:  April 15, 2025

Available to: College or Technical School bound, graduating high school students with a

Minimum GPA of 2.75.
